Before You Begin

To ensure accurate results, please follow these steps carefully:

  • Perform this test in a calm and quiet environment to minimize distractions.
  • Use a computer, not a phone, to conduct the test.
  • Wear over-ear headphones (Bluetooth or wired, noise-canceling or not -both are fine).
  • Set the headphone volume to maximum for the test.
  • Keep your Elacin hearing protection nearby, as you will need them during the test - do not put them on yet.
  • Before starting, inspect both hearing protectors for any damage, missing filters, or blockages caused by contaminants. Only undamaged hearing protectors will provide accurate results.
  • Please note that the test only accepts serial numbers from 2024 onwards.

If you have any questions about your setup, feel free to contact us.

Disclaimer: The Elacin Online Fit Test provides an indication of the fit of tested earplugs. The accuracy of the test depends on factors such as using the correct hardware, the noise level in the testing environment, and the user’s ability to adjust the volume and follow the instructions. If these factors are not properly addressed, the results may be inaccurate.

The test follows a method based on EN 17479 and assesses the hearing threshold with and without the earplugs at 1000Hz. The result is qualitative, showing either pass or fail. The raw data is linked to the earplug's serial number and is archived anonymously, available upon request.
